Ministries

We have an array of vibrant ministries at St. Andrews ranging from worship support to prayer and service to caring for one another.  We invite you to consider serving in one or more of these ministries – just contact the ministry leaders listed below for more information.

Outreach

Service and care beyond our doors have been part of the rich history of St. Andrew’s. This is one of the most important ways we build bridges of grace into our community and world. From simple things such as gathering personal hygiene items for the homeless to hurricane rebuilding efforts or earthquake aid, St. Andrew’s knows that the love of Jesus Christ is demonstrated in service to others. St. Andrew’s was a founding partner of Mustard Seed Ministries of St. Lucie County in 1986. Now the largest community services ministry in the county. Our Deacon is the former Executive Director and several members have served on the board and as regular volunteers.

Bridges to the City

Our bridges to the city invite people in and send others out. The St. Andrew’s Episcopal Academy is one of our most significant bridges as nearly 240 students (pre-K-12) and their families are a part of daily life here. Frequent chapel services in the nave introduce students to our form of worship. In addition, we have the joy of knowing young minds, hearts, and spirits are being formed and shaped by a first-rate education in a loving Christian environment.

In addition, our concerts on site and our participation in Blessing of the Fleet Treasure Coast, holiday festivities, and the annual Ft. Pierce History Walk in October are but a few of the ways we connect with the city.

Our lives are touched by those who lived centuries ago, and we hope that our lives will mean something to people who won't be alive until centuries from now. It's a great "chain of being," someone once told me, and I think our job is to do the best we can to hold up our small segment of the chain connected, unbroken.”
